A Rainy Day
by Cyra Ottinger-McKain Pitter-Patter, Boom and Crash Rain and thunder, oh how rash! Little children leap in puddles Their joy just like bubbles. All good fun 'til one goes Pop! And there's a bump on someone's top. Little boots and floors to mop. Smiling wet faces and water to sop. Children running, running, You're It! On your arm, a good-natured hit. Splish-Splash, Splish-Splash, This rain, not April's last! Cyra Ottinger-McKain is a student at Oakdale Middle. She really likes writing, and has written lots of short stories and poems. This is her first time entering work for a contest, so she is very excited. |
