Cherub
by Elizabeth Anderson
A little treasure,
Wrapped in white,
Shrouded by
The morning light;
People come
And hold her close-
Kiss her cheeks,
Her button nose;
She’s too far gone
For them to find;
In earth-bound lives
They’re kept confined,
But with solemn lips
And silent prayers,
They know that she
Will still be theirs.
Wrapped in white,
Shrouded by
The morning light;
People come
And hold her close-
Kiss her cheeks,
Her button nose;
She’s too far gone
For them to find;
In earth-bound lives
They’re kept confined,
But with solemn lips
And silent prayers,
They know that she
Will still be theirs.
