Attacked by Bees
by Emily Reed
The birds rustled in the trees,
Ruffled by the swift breeze.
Leaves fly,
In my eye,
They aren't birds, they're bees!
The bees swarm around my head
Attacking me, red blood shed.
I swat them away,
I'm not their prey,
Or their predator instead.
Through the cover of the night,
I make my desperate plight.
Leave me alone,
I can't see what is shown!
Has anyone seen my flashlight?
After the stinging attack,
I try to bounce back,
Home sweet home
Domestic garden gnome
I walk with a clickity clack.
Ruffled by the swift breeze.
Leaves fly,
In my eye,
They aren't birds, they're bees!
The bees swarm around my head
Attacking me, red blood shed.
I swat them away,
I'm not their prey,
Or their predator instead.
Through the cover of the night,
I make my desperate plight.
Leave me alone,
I can't see what is shown!
Has anyone seen my flashlight?
After the stinging attack,
I try to bounce back,
Home sweet home
Domestic garden gnome
I walk with a clickity clack.
