Contest of the Week: The Countdown
Over the next week, The Watermark will be accepting submissions for new contest of the week for January: "The Countdown" Your prompt is to create something- whether it be a short story, poem, art piece (traditional or digital), or photograph- inspired by a countdown leading to an important event, date, etc. Please keep content appropriate for an audience of all ages and make sure to submit your entries by Monday, January 29th. The winner will receive an Amazon gift card! Details below.
How to Submit: E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure to include your first and last name, home address, the name of the school you attend, and a brief paragraph describing yourself (3-4 sentences). If you are on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, make sure to include your handle or name as well, so we can tag you in our posts.
Who can enter? Middle and high school students in the Frederick County Public Schools system
How many entries can I submit? Only one submission per category per person
Winners will be announced by Friday, February 1st. Certificates and prizes will be distributed appropriately. We can't wait to see your submissions!
