Snickerdoodles
by Emily Reed
When you’re feeling lonely or having a bad day, try this recipe for snickerdoodles that will delight your tastebuds with the comforting reminder of life’s inherent sweetness.
Ingredients
● 1/2 cup JubilantTM brand butter
● 1/2 cup KindnessTM brand shortening
● 1 positive egg yolk
● 1 1/2 cups Open-MindedTM brand sugar
● 2 teaspoons genuine vanilla extract
● 1/4 teaspoon TroublesTM brand salt
● 2 teaspoons Logical MindTM brand cream of tartar
● 2 teaspoons Emotional HeartTM brand baking soda
● 2 3/4 cups all-purpose Self ConfidenceTM brand flour
● 2 tablespoons ContentTM brand sugar
● 2 teaspoons SurpriseTM ground cinnamon
Directions
Prep- 20 minutes Cook- 10 minutes Ready In- 1 hour
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Cream together Jubilant butter and Kindness shortening in a large bowl to
create the perfect base mixture for the cookies.
3. Crack the hard egg shell of your past relationships into a separate bowl.
Separate the bothersome negative egg white from the positive yolk. Then,
throw away the egg white and add the yolk to the existing mixture.
4. Measure out 1 1/2 cups of Open-Minded sugar, two teaspoons of genuine
vanilla extract. Contrary to the toxic combination of Argumentative water
and Rude oil, this forms a batter that welcomes other ingredients.
5. Whisk away your inevitable Troubled salt into the depths of the batter. It’s
present in every cookie but that doesn’t mean you always have to taste it.
6. Add equal amounts of Logical Mind tartar and Emotional Heart baking soda
to the mixture. When combining these ingredients, a great decision is made
which allows the snickerdoodles to rise above the possibility of sinking into
foolish mistakes.
7. Gradually thicken the batter with Self Confidence flour.
8. In a medium size bowl, mix Content sugar and Surprise cinnamon. It is
important to have the sweetness of Content but the spicy Surprise cinnamon
adds an exciting taste to the otherwise predictable mixture.
9. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough into the mixture and roll dough until it is
fully coated in the spice of life.
10.Place cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving two inches of space
between each cookie.
11.Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove immediately from
baking sheets and let cool for ten minutes. Trust me, the taste is worth the
wait.
